About SCMNC

SCMNC was formed in 2004 by area nurse employers, educators, providers and others who were concerned with , and affected by, a continual shortage of local nursing workforce. These partners agreed on a mission statement, "Promote Nursing as a Profession through Collaborative Efforts to Improve the Nursing Practice Environment in South Central Missouri."

The Steering Committee further articulated the following goals.

  1. Support a forum for networking, building and maintaining collaborative relationships.
  2. Support area nursing schools in their efforts to promote nursing education
  3. Create an awareness of the nursing profession to potential students
  4. Support industry to address workforce issues

The SCMNC meets quarterly on Monday nights in Rolla, Missouri.
